ANCIP at African Futures Conference 2023

At this year’s European Conference on African Studies with the theme “African Futures”, the ANCIP network was represented in different capacities. On the 31 May 2023, research fellow S. Elisabeth Warnck presented a paper on “Mapping African Union and ECOWAS meeting and document practices in the area of peace and security” on a panel on “African regional organizations and their politics under the global condition” with colleagues from Roskilde, Lisbon and Leipzig. The same afternoon,  Antonia Witt convened a panel on “Engaging with complexity and imagined futures: local perceptions of African peace interventions”, showcasing contributions from Western and Eastern Africa. ANCIP fellow, Gilbert Khadiagala, was the discussant of this panel. More information on the papers and panels can be found on ECAS 2023 African Futures.
