8th ANCIP Workshop in Leipzig

From the 9–11 February, the ANCIP team held its network meeting at the Research Centre Global Dynamics (ReCentGlobe) at Leipzig University. The workshop focused on the project’s outcomes, jointly discussing the new publications, and, further, on preparations for knowledge transfer activities in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

As the first four-year funding period of the ANCIP project comes to an end in March this year, the project fellows shared insights from their sub-projects relating to newly gained empirical findings and their contributions to existing research, many of which can be found in the newly published edited volume. Further discussions centered on the upcoming work for the ANCIP Portal, which will integrate project results, activities, and the new ANCIP dashboard for future public release.

After four years of research, project members reflected on fruitful collaborations, numerous exchanges, and a more developed perspective on African Non-military Conflict Intervention Practices. In the second project phase (2026–2028), the ANCIP team will focus on the project’s sustainability and on deepening existing research avenues in an ever-changing global environment.
